The David Kropfelder Melanoma FoundationThe David Kropfelder Melanoma Foundation was created in 2003 to combat the rising rate of melanoma and melanoma related deaths in Maryland. The Foundation has the stated goals of providing awareness and education about skin cancer to eliminate melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.A Board of Directors comprised of business people and health care professionals work for the Foundation on a voluntary basis. Funds raised by support education and research efforts aimed at preventing and treating melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. The Foundation established The David Kropfelder Melanoma Research and Education Fund in the Department of Dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  |
